Crystal Touch: TRUE Multi-Touch Now Available in 10.4-inch Size
Ocular expands product portfolio as a response to increased market demand
Dallas, TX (October 18, 2011) - Ocular LCD, Inc., a leading supplier of touch panels and display products to the embedded technology industry, today announced the newest addition to the Crystal Touch line of projected capacitive touch panels. Available for volume production later this year, the 10.4-inch TRUE multi-touch panel allows for up to sixteen simultaneous touch points with an outline of 229 mm by 173 mm. Increased market demand for applications such as medical devices and industrial controls have prompted the design and production of this ultra-rugged touch panel.
Paul Massey, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Ocular has noticed a large increase in customer demand for the 10.4-inch touch panel. "Ocular is known for custom-sized touch panels and we encourage our customers to ask for variations of our standard parts. When we announced our 10.1-inch true multi-touch last spring, the feedback was extremely positive and the requests for the slight size increase started to become extremely common. After many customer discussions and market research, the decision to add a 10.4-inch to our product line was an easy one."

The 10.4-inch touch panels are currently available for evaluation testing and will be released for volume production in early December. Minimum volume pricing will start at $97.74.
