Projected capacitive touch technology is an all-glass construction that will not deform over time. Many people set their security alarms multiple times a day and Crystal Touch is designed for continuous use. Touch screens eliminate the need for mechanical buttons and provide a flat surface that will keep out dirt and debris from frequent use.

Ocular’s Crystal Touch projected capacitive touch technology has been used in many alarm systems. Adding an industrial look and feel to the device, Crystal Touch also provides enhanced optical clarity and is scratch resistant. Keeping the touch screen free from scratches as well as eliminating dirt from entering the device expands the overall lifespan of the alarm system. Crystal Touch panels are available in a wide range of sizes from 3.5″ to 18.5″ and standard product offerings include options for a pre-integrated cover glass and controller assembly options, such as Chip on Flex (COF) or an integrated PCB. COF designs save space within the enclosure by eliminating an external PCB board. If a smaller thickness is required to save space, the Crystal Touch EDGE product line offers a smaller stack-up but still provides a scratch resistant and all-glass touch solution.
